Archaeologists have uncovered a 2,000-year-old temporary Ancient Greek military camp in southern Uzbekistan using ground-penetrating radar and magnetometry. The site, known as Iskandar Tepa, was previously thought to be a small settlement. New research has confirmed it was a short-term military outpost from the Hellenistic period (2nd century BC).
