The Union of Postal Workers in Romania is calling on the Ministry of Economy, as the majority shareholder of the National Company Romanian Post, not to vote in the General Assembly of Shareholders for projects aimed at reorganizing the company, arguing that these could have major effects on employees, the postal network and universal service. Trade unionists warn that the measures are being promoted at a time when Romania is led by a caretaker government and accuse the lack of transparency and consultation with representatives of employees.
