A control and guarantees judge ordered a preventive detention measure in a prison facility against Carlos Mario Rodríguez Rosas, accused of causing the death of his romantic partner by throwing her from a fifth floor in northern Bogotá. The Prosecution maintains that the case would have occurred in a context of gender-based violence and that the defendant attempted to simulate a suicide. According to the investigation conducted by the General Prosecution Office of the Nation, the facts occurred on the night of January 24, 2026, when the couple initially attended a social gathering.
