The veteran Airbus C212 Aviocar aircraft that Spain used for decades for fisheries surveillance have been the protagonists of an unexpected operation after years of being immobilized and out of service. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food had been trying for some time to find a way out for these aircraft, whose deterioration made their operational recovery increasingly difficult. The situation affected three historic planes named Doñana, Sancti Petri and Roche, distributed between the aerodromes of Salamanca/Matacán and Alicante/Mutxamel.
