A statistical report of the first five months of 2026 revealed that 14 minors have been direct or collateral victims of armed violence in Irapuato, resulting in four deaths and ten seriously injured. The data, validated by the local Citizen Observatory, confirms a 180 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. The assessment is added to a perception of insecurity of 92.1 percent and a rise in family violence, in response to which authorities are implementing the Comprehensive Chimalli Plan in school settings.
