Professor Jacek Wojnicki of the University of Warsaw argues that the post-1989 model of cooperation between the Polish state and Catholic Church has maintained socio-political stability for over 30 years, but faces threats from both leftist-progressive and national-Catholic movements, with particular damage inflicted during the rule of the United Right coalition.
