Cameroon celebrated its 54th National Day with grand military parades across the country, with President Paul Biya presiding over festivities in Yaoundé. Despite separatist attempts to disrupt ceremonies in the North-West and South-West regions through a boycott campaign, official celebrations proceeded in all ten regions, including participation by Chadian special forces to demonstrate regional military cooperation.
