Some reflections following the Fourth of July: During the 200th anniversary celebrations, I was proud to be an American. Now, at the 250th anniversary, I am embarrassed to be an American. Following in the footsteps of failed great civilizations, a country that would, by popular vote, elect a man who obviously has no character, integrity or moral compass is headed down the path to obscurity.
