Laura Sarabia responded this Wednesday to statements by President Gustavo Petro about her arrival at the Embassy of Colombia in the United Kingdom, after the president publicly stated that sending someone to a diplomatic representation could be interpreted as a punishment. From London, the former Foreign Minister defended the role of the foreign service and assured that assuming the representation of the country before the British Government has meant a responsibility that she values. In an interview with La FM, she maintained that exercising diplomatic functions involves representing the Colombian State in international scenarios and highlighted the work that the mission is currently advancing on issues of bilateral cooperation.
