Participants included Mirdif Al-Qashouti, Qatar’s Ambassador to Afghanistan; Georgette Gagnon, Acting Head of UNAMA; Scott Smith, Head of UNAMA’s Political Affairs Division; Zakir Jalaly, Director-General of the Second Political Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Abdul Hai Qanit, Head of the Strategic Studies Center of the Foreign Ministry. The participants discussed the future of Afghanistan’s engagement with the international community and ways to strengthen those ties.
