PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly here on Sunday unanimously passed a resolution to demand of the federal government to immediately withdraw its decision about imposition of taxes in Malakand division and erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). The joint resolution was moved by member of treasury benches Dr Hamidur Rehman during a sitting held with Speaker Babar Saleem Swati in the chair. It said that the federal government had exempted erstwhile Fata from tax for 10 years besides Malakand division enjoyed tax relaxation.
