Alpaca farming has carved out a niche in Latvia’s rural tourism sector. Although these animals are native to the Andes Mountains in South America, alpacas are becoming increasingly common here as well. One of the largest alpaca farms in Latvia's southeast is located in Bebrene Parish, Augšdaugava Municipality, Vidusdaugava regional television reported on June 24.
