The General Authority of the Euphrates Dam, under the Syrian Ministry of Energy, confirmed that dams and water facilities are in stable and completely safe technical condition, with no structural risks to the dam bodies, gates, or operational equipment. The institution clarified in a statement issued today, Thursday, that the technical capacity of the dams allows for passing larger quantities of water flows than currently flowing when needed, and that all ongoing work is conducted under precise technical monitoring around the clock. The institution noted that the storage rates of Syrian dam lakes stand at 98.5%, which no longer permits storing additional quantities of water without affecting operational safety limits, necessitating the continued passage of large quantities toward the Euphrates River course.
