A group of 17 members of a gang from the northeastern part of Medellín was sent to prison by a judge after being found guilty of multiple crimes. The sentence was highlighted by the General Prosecutor's Office, which specified that all those involved accepted their illegal activities through a plea agreement. The prosecuting body added that the defendants accepted being members of a self-proclaimed group called Altos de la Virgen, which operates in the Aranjuez neighborhood and other areas of the Aburrá Valley.
