The Ukrainian lost in an area of cliffs and waterfalls in the Maramureş Mountains, after fleeing his country and entering Romania, was rescued by Maramureş mountain rescuers Thursday afternoon, following a difficult intervention. "He had provisions and change of clothes, was excellently equipped and in very good physical condition. (...) He told us that he fought on the front for two years and eight months, which made his escape attempt easier," says the head of Salvamont Maramureş.
