<p>A severe thunderstorm warning was issued Wednesday evening for northwest Cook County, according to the National Weather Service.</p><p>Wind gusts of 60 mph were set to hit southern portions of the city before the warning was set to expire at 8:30 p.m. and a flood advisory was issued for Cook, DuPage and Will counties until 10:30 p.m. </p><p>A tornado warning was previously put in place for about an hour in northeastern Kane County and northwestern Cook County; it expired at 6:45 p.m.</p><p>Quarter-sized hail and 70 mph winds, as well as "widespread tree damage," were reported in Bartlett around 6:36 p.m., according to the weather service.
