The NATO Multinational Brigade has deployed troops in Daugavpils for the first time, expanding its presence beyond the Ādaži military base. In the future, allied forces are also planned to be deployed elsewhere in Latgale, thereby demonstrating NATO’s readiness to defend the entire territory of Latvia if necessary, according to the portal Sargs.lv.
