The Disciplinary Council of the International Ice Hockey Federation has overturned the IIHF council's decision to exclude Russian national teams from tournaments of the 2026/27 season. This was announced by Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev, according to TASS. According to him, the decision states that the materials presented by the IIHF — arguments and risk assessment reports — did not contain sufficient grounds for extending the suspension on security grounds.
