Regarding Clarence Crawford’s letter about speeding bicyclists, (<a href="https://www.adn.com/opinions/letters/2026/06/13/letter-speeding-cyclists-need-to-respect-walkers-on-shared-anchorage-trails/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer" title="https://www.adn.com/opinions/letters/2026/06/13/letter-speeding-cyclists-need-to-respect-walkers-on-shared-anchorage-trails/">“Speeding cyclists need to respect walkers on shared Anchorage trails,”</a> June 13) I, and others, walk the Coastal Trail between Earthquake Park and the pullout at Postmark daily, and there is a steady stream of bicyclists on the trail who do not seem to be aware of, or care about, trail etiquette. The Coastal Trail is a multiuse and multidirectional trail. Announce your presence — “on your left,” “passing” or the ding of a bicycle bell — and slow down and share the trail.
