<p>The <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/fire" >Fire</a> have reportedly landed the world’s most famous Polish soccer player.</p><p>International soccer insider Fabrizio Romano reported Sunday that the Fire are signing forward Robert Lewandowski. The captain of the Polish national team, Lewandowski, 37, last played for Spanish powerhouse Barcelona. After starting his professional career in Poland, Lewandowski also suited up for German titans Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, winning the 2020 Champions League with Bayern.</p><p>A Fire spokesman confirmed they are in talks with Lewandowski, but said no contract has been signed or agreed to.</p><p>A prolific striker, Lewandowski has made 167 appearances for the Polish national team, scoring 89 times.</p><p>Off the field, Lewandowski has become an icon of European and Polish soccer.
