Rīga can be called the capital of invasive plant species in Latvia. Various alien species are increasingly common in forests, meadows and roadsides, crowding out native plants. To stop the spread of invasive species, the involvement of the entire society and an understanding of why they need to be combated is necessary, reports Latvian Television.
