Gold prices in Bangladesh jumped 4,374 taka per bhori on Friday as the Bangladesh Jewelers Association adjusted rates following a 1.43% increase in global gold prices to $4,171 per ounce. The increase follows a 2,216 taka rise the previous day, and a new VAT structure on gold ornaments takes effect in the 2026-27 fiscal year.
