Officials say reconstruction work is currently underway on 21 school buildings across the province, with seven projects funded by the Ministry of Education and 14 supported by UNICEF. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new school building, Ghazni Education Director Mir Nasir Ahmad Hussaini said that although the Ministry of Education and partner organizations are rebuilding some schools, public support for the education sector is still needed.
