# Translation Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a joint statement "On the Seven Foundations of Friendship and Good Neighborliness of the Peoples of Russia and Kazakhstan," TASS reports. The ceremony took place at the Palace of Independence in Astana as part of Putin's state visit to Kazakhstan. As Russian Presidential Assistant Yury Ushakov previously reported, the statement on the "seven foundations" enshrines the key principles of bilateral relations: shared history and responsible approach to its objective understanding; joint efforts to develop Eurasian integration, the formation of a space of cooperation, security and dialogue in the region; common borders as a space of good neighborliness and cooperation; economic partnership; linguistic and cultural diversity as a common heritage of traditional values; youth, educational exchanges and cooperation in sports; a shared vision of the future.
