Texas-based biotech firm Colossal Biosciences unveiled an artificial egg system capable of incubating bird embryos outside a living body, successfully hatching 26 chicken chicks. The technology was developed as part of the company's effort to resurrect the extinct South Island giant moa, which cannot be gestated by any living bird species due to the massive size of moa eggs.
