Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam viewed that "nothing can justify the continuous attacks on the Tyre and Nabatieh regions, the destruction of their historical landmarks, and the ongoing threats targeting the peaceful civilians in them." Salam said that repeated calls for residents to leave their homes and abandon their livelihoods "amount to collective punishment, which is condemned by all international norms and laws." He stressed that these developments increase Lebanon's commitment to the necessity of "an immediate ceasefire, working toward a complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territories, and extending state authority over all its territory," which would enable displaced persons to return to their homes "with security and dignity." Salam pointed out that Lebanon continues to "mobilize all Arab and international support" to achieve these goals, emphasizing that this is "a national duty and a fixed right that we will not compromise on under any circumstances."
