Starting July 1, 2026, the value-added tax (VAT) rate on certain common food products will be reduced from 21% to 12%. The reduced VAT rate will apply to four basic food product groups: bread, milk, poultry, and eggs. The reduced rate will be in effect for one year until June 30, 2027.
