Conflicts are multiplying around the world, including on our doorstep with Ukraine, and our American ally within NATO seems less and less reliable. To prepare for war, Brussels is allowing the 27 member states to increase their military spending, a plan called "Readiness 2030", which it is hoped will result in €800 billion over ten years.
