<p>There’s something in Chicago’s water, and I’m not talking about E. coli.</p><p>Each summer, warming temperatures bring a surfeit of swimming-related activity that, this year in particular,<b> </b>builds momentum toward a larger movement around aquatics. </p><p>The Chicago River, once home to the city’s refuse and at least <a class="Link" href="https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/chicago-river-search-cold-case-couple-turns-up-91-vehicles" target="_blank" >97 abandoned cars</a>, will welcome swimmers for the second annual <a class="Link" href="https://www.chicagoriverswim.org/" target="_blank" >River Swim</a> in September.
