Officials of the European Commission have complained that regular trips between Brussels and Strasbourg have become increasingly frustrating after the introduction of electric cars into the institution's fleet, as vehicles need to be stopped on the road for recharging. According to POLITICO, some journeys end up lasting even seven hours, and complaints have been discussed even in meetings of European commissioners.
