The Italian Financial Police revealed the assets belonging to Matteo Messina Denaro, the head of the Sicilian mafia who died in 2023, scattered across several countries. Among the discovered assets were real estate, shares in companies, and bank accounts hidden in Italy, Luxembourg, Andorra, Switzerland, Spain, Lebanon, Monaco, and the Cayman Islands.
