US imposes sanctions on DR Congo ex-President Kabila alleging rebel support
Thousands march in DR Congo capital in support of US sanctions against Kabila Washington blacklisted the former president last week, accusing him of supporting the Rwanda-backed M23/AFC rebels fighting in the east of the country.
The United States has sanctioned former Democratic Republic of Congo president Joseph Kabila over what it calls his support for Rwanda-backed M23 rebels and their ally, the Congo River Alliance.
