Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 185 Ukrainian soldiers, including defenders of Mariupol, have returned to Ukraine as part of a prisoner of war exchange with Russia.

The winners of the "Gift" award, founded and headed by writer Mikhail Shishkin, in 2026 were three authors: Oleg Radzinsky (the novel "Penitential Days"), Ksenia Buksha (the novel "Little Paradise") and Alexandra Krashevskaya (the book "Lullaby in Mariupol"). This is reported on the award website. Winners will receive grants to translate their books into a foreign language.
