Iranian armed forces are preparing for a possible new round of American-Israeli attacks by deploying a larger number of man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS), capitalizing on lessons learned from the recent war and the downing of several American and Israeli aircraft, announces France 24. The French press obtained documents and video recordings that reveal large-scale training exercises organized by the Revolutionary Guards for Basij members, the paramilitary force of the IRGC, on how to use MANPADS systems.

The Ministry of National Defence announced the signing of four contracts to date, valued at nearly 700 million euros without VAT and over 1 million lei without VAT, under the SAFE program, for the acquisition of drones and military aerial reconnaissance equipment, MANPAD MISTRAL short-range air defense missiles, portable, as well as ammunition supply. The deadline for signing all 15 contracts is May 31.
