A married couple from Guarne, Antioquia died in a head-on collision on the highway between La Apartada and Buenavista after their pickup truck allegedly swerved to avoid a dog and crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a van. At least two young children and several other passengers were injured in the incident; the cause remains under investigation.
