The Herat Department of Information and Culture has opened a communications museum at the Qala-e-Ikhtyaruddin citadel, displaying approximately 250 artifacts including lithography machines, radios, early cameras, and televisions dating back over a century. Officials say the museum aims to attract foreign tourists and educate visitors about Afghanistan's past technological advancement in communications.
