The new road regulations are committed to developing safer and more continuous cycling routes, although cyclists will continue to be obliged to travel on the shoulder where it exists and is practicable according to the general traffic rules. The DGT changes the driver's license: this will be the new theoretical exam with videos. The new General Road Regulations approved by the Government and incorporated into the BoE do not prohibit cyclists from riding on the shoulder of the roads , although it does introduce a change of approach that could transform part of the road network in the coming years.
