Capitol police officers who defended the building on January 6, 2021, have filed a lawsuit to prevent rioters from receiving payouts from an $1.8 billion fund created for Trump allies claiming political persecution. The fund was established this week as part of a settlement in which President Trump dropped a $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS.
