Argentina's health ministry is to conduct tests on rodents in Ushuaia, Argentina, after an outbreak of hantavirus on the Hondius cruise ship. Reuters reports. Hantavirus can be transmitted from rodents to humans, and it was from Ushuaia that the Hondius began its journey with the passengers now on board. Argentine investigators have a hypothesis that a Dutch couple caught the virus while birdwatching at a garbage dump. The couple died from the disease. Eight people on board the cruise ship are confirmed or suspected to be infected with the hantavirus. One more person, in addition to the couple, has lost their life. Read more here:
