Colombia's national government has launched an investigation into alleged irregularities in photo detection systems operated by 37 traffic agencies in more than 10 cities, including Medellín. The investigation claims that Medellín alone issued over 717,000 citations through faulty systems, with potential penalties and refunds exceeding $2.1 trillion. Mayor Federico Gutiérrez stated the city has not yet received official notification but pledged cooperation and acknowledged that 'injustices cannot be committed with these systems.'
