Brazil's National Monetary Council approved an emergency credit line of up to $1 billion for domestic airlines to strengthen working capital amid rising fuel costs, particularly aviation kerosene. The financing can be used for operational expenses and will be distributed through Banco do Brasil, with individual company limits set at R$330 million and repayment terms of up to six months.
