The Republican-controlled North Carolina House of Representatives voted 73–0 (or similar supermajority) to override Governor Josh Stein's veto of a bill permitting the state to participate in a federal tax-credit scholarship program. Two formerly Democratic representatives from Mecklenburg County who recently switched to unaffiliated status voted with Republicans to secure the override.
