A Barranquilla-based businessman, Alex Nain Saab Moran, has been indicted by U.S. federal prosecutors in Miami on charges of money laundering conspiracy connected to Venezuela's CLAP food program under Nicolás Maduro's regime. Saab was deported by Venezuela over the weekend and faces accusations dating back to 2015.
