Andalusia's Supreme Court has nullified forced expropriations for a major wastewater treatment plant in Malaga's Vega de Mestanza, ruling that the regional government failed to conduct a genuine environmental assessment. The €138 million facility, which would serve 600,000 residents and help Spain meet EU wastewater treatment standards, must now restart its entire permitting process.
