A Cameroonian civil society organization has submitted a detailed complaint to the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights alleging that security forces killed at least 40 civilians, arbitrarily arrested approximately 2,000 people, and used excessive force against demonstrators during the post-election crisis that followed the October 2025 presidential election. The NGO documented deaths including civilians in non-protest areas and the arrest of opposition supporters, election observers, and human rights defenders.
