A confrontation between FARC dissidents commanded by Néstor Gregorio Vera Fernández ("Iván Mordisco") and Alexánder Díaz Mendoza ("Calarcá") allegedly ended in a massacre with a preliminary death toll of around 50. Military sources confirmed this to EL COLOMBIANO after receiving citizen reports of a series of clashes that began on the night of Monday, May 25 in the La Siberia village of the municipality of San José del Guaviare, in the department of Guaviare. Data collected by Military Intelligence indicates that the clash involved criminals from the Isaías Carvajal front, attached to the Jorge Suárez Briceño bloc of the Command of Blocs and Fronts (EMBF), under the command of "Calarcá."
